Renee St. Louis attended graduate school at University of California, San Diego and now teaches English at Southwestern College in Chula Vista, California. Research interests include gender, violence, trauma, and identity--so naturally, the Whedonverse is high on her list of interesting fictions.

In addition to teaching and geekdom, Renee cooks, runs, and writes fiction, poetry, and ethnic restaurant reviews. She and her husband can be found in San Diego, or anywhere else that the weather threatens to be perfect most of the time.
