Buffy Scholar/Critic

Matthew Pateman teaches English at the University of Hull in the UK. In 2004-2005, he taught at John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he held the Gerard Manley Hopkins Endowed Professorship in English Literature. His The Aesthetics of Culture in Buffy the Vampire Slayer appeared in 2006 from McFarland and won the 2007 Mr. Pointy Award. He will be one of the keynote speakers at the 2008 Slayage Conference on the Whedonverses.
