Buffy Scholar/Critic

Lawson Fletcher is a postgraduate student at the Institute for Social Research, Swinburne University of Technology. His research centres on the aesthetics and textures of music and media, and he has interests in media theory, material culture, sound studies and new approaches to criticism. His doctoral thesis examines the material and symbolic afterlives of older media in domestic contexts. He has written on the materiality of MP3s, amateur music journalism and Auto-Tune's erotics of presence.
